***This will be a hybrid position based in either our NYC or Mendota Heights location with 2-3 days required onsite weekly

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist lawyers in preparing for depositions and hearings; completing many administrative tasks, including working on individual cases or transactions
  • Investigate the factual evidence of a matter and preparing needed documents
  • Review legal court documents, such as pleadings, motions, and affidavits
  • Assist in locating documents responsive to subpoenas and needed for routine discovery and needed for complaint responses and litigations
  • Obtain corporate certificates of good standing and securities filings
  • Organize and track files for matters or case documents, including pleadings and voluminous discovery documents; creating and maintaining a case-management database


Required Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-4 years of LAA experience or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills required with Microsoft Word and Outlook, as well as with file document management tools such as FileSite or WorkSite.


Preferred Education & Experience
  • College or business school preferred
  • PowerPoint experience is preferred
  • Law firm experience preferred


Compensation
  • $22.36 per hour
