Integration Engineering Technician
- Contract Duration 6 Months
Job Responsibilities: - Integration Engineering Technician will manufacture, assemble, and test New Glenn (GS1) First Stage & Second Stage structure.
- Set up new production work areas, including tooling and equipment.
- Assist with the transition from development to production, including the first articles.
- Perform second-party verifications and hardware inspections of engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control.
- Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment, truck-trailer combinations, and other ground support equipment as required.
- Set up and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, height gauges, and optical measuring instruments.
- Integration Engineering Technician will identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD
- Ability to work off-shift, extended overtime, and weekends if/when vital.
- Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission and vision.

Qualifications: - 5 to 10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing & aerospace structures (Sheetmetal)
- Experience in Drilling Aluminum, Composite & Titanium structures
- Experience in at least one of the following is required: Heavy (Primary Structures drilling experience) (Secondary Structures drilling experience)
- Interpret engineering models, drawings, and specifications, and understand written work instructions and test procedures.
- Work collaboratively with teams of diverse skills, fields, and backgrounds
- Communicate clearly and appropriately, in writing and in person.
- Basic digital literacy such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Climb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areas.
- Work at Heights on work stands and in lifts.
- Perform repetitive work, including lifting items up to 35lbs.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired: - Industry certification, trade school training, and/or degree in a related field or (Airframe License).
- Proven success as a "hands-on" technical leader
- Work optimally with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities

- Intense curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to optimize it.
- Experience in handling large aerospace structures.
- Experience in assembling large tight tolerance structures.
- Experience in new product introduction.
- Experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification
- Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs.
- Military experience
Desired Skills - 5- 10 years of aerospace or related aviation integration experience. (High-pressure systems, hydraulics, wire harness routing, installation of hardware, and associated brackets, structures experience a plus)
