Food Services Helper- 5 Hours ($16.93 - $21.77)

JOB SUMMARY: Prepares and serves meals. Maintains a sanitary and orderly kitchen. Operates the cash register.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Helps as directed to meet established schedules (e.g., prepares food for cooking, sets up serving lines, serves

customers, replenishes supplies, stores or disposes of leftover food as appropriate, etc.).

* Follows approved receiving and storage procedures to ensure food safety. Organizes, stores, dates and rotates stock as

directed.

* Follows the published menus. Ensures compliance with all food preparation regulations (e.g., hazard analysis critical

control points, sanitation procedures, etc.).

* Prepares and operates the cash register. Ensures that money is exchanged correctly. Does not leave the cash register

unattended. Monitors students to help maintain orderly behavior.

* Cleans, washes, and sanitizes dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, etc. Monitors water temperature to ensure proper

sanitization. Hand washes large pots, cooking equipment, etc. as needed. Properly stores all items.

* Complies with personal hygiene rules and standard sanitation procedures.

* Assume any other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Education, Superintendent, or Administration.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

* High school diploma.

* A record free of criminal violation that would prohibit public school employment.

* Demonstrates professionalism and contributes to a positive work environment.

* Performs prescribed activities efficiently with limited supervision.

* Reacts productively to interruptions and changing conditions.

* Effectively uses listening, observational, reading, and verbal skills.

* Verifies information/data and completes paperwork/documentation accurately.

* Maintains an acceptable attendance record and is punctual.

* Ability to operate a cash register accurately.

SALARY: $16.93 - $21.77 per hour based on experience
