Responsibilities of the Service Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates service breakdowns and repair work between the customer and APO Service Technicians
  • Fiscal optimization of service technicians by skill set and strategic geographical planning
  • Ensure service technicians are fully scheduled for the work week and beyond
  • Create service workorders and maintain possession from inception to invoicing
  • Review ongoing service work to determine the next course of action in timely manner
  • Research correct replacement parts needed for service work. Use various means in locating and purchasing parts
  • Prepare quotes for service work, which includes researching for the correct replacement parts
  • Quotes sent to customer with copy to corresponding salesperson in less than 48 hours or reasonable duration depending on complexity of work
  • Weekly review of open work orders past 30 days
  • Register new equipment for warranty and extended coverage
  • File Ingersoll Rand warranty work in Tavant and follow up to make sure they get processed and paid in a timely manner
  • Support your Team by responding to all media requests (i.e. phone, service email box, etc.) as needed
  • Check inventory for technicians who need parts ASAP and order parts
Qualifications of the Service Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
  • Broad knowledge and experience in industrial service work
  • Knowledgeable of computers and technology, specifically business system software, Microsoft Office suite
  • Professional level verbal and written communications
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines

Additional Information:

Physical Demand: Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20lbs. The Customer Service Representative will be required to: read; communicate verbally and/or in written form; remember and analyze certain information; and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines. While performing the duties of this job, they may be required to stand, walk, and sit. Frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions: The Customer Service Representative is in an office setting, working with internal and external customers. Time is occasionally spent on the shop floor

Training/Certifications: Online vendor training provided

Shift Time/Overtime: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm

Travel: Minimal travel between offices. Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines

Education: Highschool/ GED required. College degree desired, yet not required
