We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Surgeon to join our team in Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified surgeon to provide high-quality care in both emergent and scheduled settings.
Position: General Surgeon
Location: Illinois
Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
Valid Illinois State License
Minimum of 1 year of experience in General Surgery
DEA License
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
CSR (Controlled Substance Registration) License
Typical Day:
Accept inpatient referrals and admissions from emergency departments
Handle occasional patient transfers
Perform appropriate surgeries on both an emergent and scheduled basis (scopes required)
Take call every 2 days (usually 2 consecutive weekdays with weekend coverage from Friday to Monday morning)
Accept daytime admissions
Manage outpatient and inpatient referrals from primary care and other providers
Collaborate with other inpatient physicians and surgery providers in the group
Schedule:
