Our client seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to manage design, planning, cost estimation, capital approvals, material selection, construction oversight, and equipment installation for projects expanding, modifying, or establishing new facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates for civil/structural projects across multiple facilities in the US, Canada, and Mexico. This includes structural design for facility and heavy industrial equipment foundations.
- Provide project and onsite construction management to ensure project requirements are met. You'll need a strong grasp of current industrial facility construction practices and expertise in structural analysis and design using steel, concrete, and wood.
- Utilize advanced skills in technical writing, oral presentations, customer interactions, teamwork, and leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- PE license.
- Extensive knowledge of heavy industrial facility construction practices.
- Comprehensive technical expertise in structural analysis/design with steel, concrete, and wood.
- Strong skills in technical writing, oral presentations, customer interactions, teamwork, and leadership.
- Experience in project and construction management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Physical agility for working in confined spaces, dirty, hot, and very humid environments (such as a Paper Mill), and ability to climb ladders without height concerns.
