Our Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Manager for our Construction Consulting Practice in our Alexandria, VA office. In this role you will work as part of a team which provides advisory services, which includes, but is not limited not, business process improvement and training services.
You will be responsible for
* Growing our Construction Advisory business, with a focus on developing, expanding, and managing client relationships
* Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities and promoting Exponent's diverse service offerings in collaboration with other consultants in the Natick and Oakland offices and across the firm
* Participating in the Company's Business Development initiatives
* Active participation in Industry Associations
* Project management of client engagements
* Executing projects and delivering final work product to clients
* Developing and contributing to execution of dispute resolution matters
* Recruiting, developing and mentoring staff in the area of Construction Advisory
You will have the following skills and qualifications
* Master's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
* 10-15 years of experience in project/construction management or construction consulting
* Project site experience and good technical knowledge is desired
* Experience in business process improvement, training and project controls services are desired
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation
Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Manager level and above total compensation includes base salary, annual bonus, and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.
The base salary range for this position is dependant on experience and capabilities, which will be assessed during the interview process.
