WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Monitor workplace conditions and employee performance enforcing safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform plant safety evaluations, job safety analysis and audits.
  • Administer OSHA Required Programs and training.
  • Assist with Worker Compensation program.
  • Conduct accident/injury investigations with supervisors.
  • Testing the Emergency Protection Systems as deemed necessary and maintain documentation.
  • Participate as a member of the Process Safety Management Program and Risk Management Plan teams.
  • Perform and Document Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Work with Supervisors to ensure all On the Job Training emphasizes Safety First.
  • All other relevant duties to the job.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM...

  • Bachelor Degree in an environmental or health related science preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other general industry safety practices required; 3+ years plant safety experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of proven accident prevention measures in the food industry required.
  • Must have OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient technology and computer skills, including MS Word and Excel required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.


THE ENVIRONMENT TO EXPECT...

  • You'll need to be able to walk, twist, bend and lift various weights.
  • You will be exposed to cold temperatures and slightly wet conditions.
