The Assistant Area Operations Director works directly with the Area Operations Director and is responsible for the management of assigned outpatient dialysis facilities and any associated home and hospital dialysis programs in accordance with written polices established by the Board of Trustee and the Medical Directors.

Schedule: Full-time, M-F, 8-hour shifts. Travel between clinics is required.

Responsibilities

What You Can Expect:

  • Reviews and oversees patient care and assists AOD in medical record documentation for compliance with ESRD Network, HCFA, CQI Program, and policies and procedures.
  • Develops and implements nursing policies and procedures in compliance with ESRD Network, HCFA, CQI Program, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Actively develop managers, leaders, and teams. Promotes teamwork and trust among all staff and management.
  • Ensures facility compliance with all regulatory bodies and ESRD Networks. Provide Federal and State agencies all data required for certification (or re-certification).
  • Oversees that Care Planning, QAPI, and Governing Body meetings are held on a routine basis as needed.
  • Attend technical, social worker, clinical staff, and patient representative meetings as needed.
  • Oversees the financial operation of the facility, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and inventory. Participates in the development of fiscal budgets for assigned clinics, as requested. Responsible for overall cost controls.
  • Works cooperatively with all departments of the DCI Corporate Office and provides required reporting in a timely manner.
  • Oversees the clinical and technical operation of the facility, and in coordination with the local clinical team, works to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
  • Initiates and ensures effective communication and timely execution of DCI programs and directives.
  • Participates in negotiating agreements into which the facility may enter with vendors, consultants, and providers of services.
