Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Chief Scientist to lead our research and development efforts in radar and camera technology. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in radar systems engineering, including both hardware and software components, and will drive the innovation and development of legacy and next-generation radar and object detection solutions. As the Chief Scientist, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's strategic direction, guiding technical decisions and teams, interfacing with government agencies and customers, act as the key internal spokesperson for the company s scientific endeavors, and foster a culture of scientific excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the R&D activities in radar and camera software and hardware systems engineering.
  • Develop and implement the company s scientific and technological strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Conduct advanced research to identify and exploit new opportunities in radar technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and validate innovative radar solutions.
  • Mentor and guide a team of scientists and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Establish partnerships with academic, industry, and government entities to advance the company s research initiatives.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and technical forums to showcase our technological capabilities and advancements.


Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field. Focus on radar systems is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in advanced technology, with a strong emphasis on both software and hardware systems. Radar experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leading successful R&D projects and bringing innovative technical solutions to market.
  • Deep understanding of computer signal processing, RF engineering, or related hardware and software technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing and mentoring technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a creative approach to overcoming technical challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Possess an insatiable curiosity for technology and complex systems and solutions.
  • Experience in naval defense, aerospace, or automotive detection and tracking applications.
  • Knowledge of emerging radar technologies such as MIMO, cognitive radar, and AI/ML integration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in radar technology is a plus.
  • Programming experience in C.
