The Role and the Company

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Dispatcher to join our team based out of our Redmond, WA office and reporting to the Logistics Manager.

What you'll get to do

  • Day-to-day dispatching of up to 40 aggregate trucks from 7 plants
  • Provides superior customer service, is responsible for processing orders in computer software programs via phone and email, making recommendations, and selling products for the aggregate product line.
  • Handles sales calls and provides recommendations to customers.
  • Simultaneously enter accurate and concise information into JWS dispatching software while processing customer calls.
  • Quote pricing using an established pricing structure.
  • Communicates closely with team members to assure the timeliness of orders.
  • Ensure quality product and timely deliveries to our customers with while focusing upon the company's financial and productivity objectives.
  • Assist in responding to sales, customer requests and concerns, while enhancing customer satisfaction and public relations while fulfilling duties of the job.
  • Assist in implementing the company's value-added product strategy.
  • Provide on-job customer support and directing of drivers, as well as miscellaneous projects and assignments.

Essential Experience and Skills
  • Highly computer literate, proficient with MS Office and custom databases.
  • Experience in resolving problems and dealing with difficult situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work under stress and maintain professionalism under stressful circumstances.
  • Team player with ability to establish and maintain good working relationships.
  • Track record of continuous improvement.
  • Punctuality, attendance, and dependability is essential in this role, with the ability and motivation to work some Saturdays.
  • Sales or customer focused experience.
  • Aggregate business or related industry experience a big plus.
  • Knowledge of Command Data System, and Trackit Truck Tracking not required, but very helpful.
