Westaff is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic in the Leominster MA area for Immediate Start!
Location: Leominster
Shift opening:
12 hour shifts 7am-7pm
Or
12 hour shifts 7pm-7am
Responsible for performing maintenance and repair of facility and equipment.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of plastic injection molding machines.
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of production and building equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems.
- Identify repair needed, select repair procedure, order parts and complete repair or replacement of worn or defective parts using hand and power tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance operations on all equipment.
- Perform duties related to general facility maintenance.
- Operate cranes, lift molds and move presses as needed.
- Assist with the implementation of and abide by all F&M safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to:
- Lockout/Tagout
- Accident reporting
- Forklift Safety
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience working as a maintenance mechanic
- Must have experience with injection molding machines
- Prior experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems
- Prior experience operating cranes and moving large, heavy pieces of equipment
- Prior experience working with robotics and PLCs a plus
- Basic knowledge of common standard computer programs (Word, Excel, email, etc.)
- Capable of reading and understanding various kinds of job related documentation, instruction manuals and standard operating procedures
- Must be able to work overtime as needed to cover off shifts
