Business Process Manager


Job Details

The Business Process Manager (BPM) will work in partnership with the Area Sales Manager, Regional Sales Mangers, and Operations teams to define process strategies, goals, metrics, best practices, and measures that are aligned with Rumpke's organizational goals. The BPM has ownership of project deliverables and oversight of day-to-day management of their functional team and processes. This position will work with the SAP Program Manager to develop and manage scope, resource schedule resources, and assist in the development of the process and project benefits. They are responsible for identifying the impact on and requirements for business processes to support the organization's "To-Be" vision with the SAP and ISB Solutions, and for verifying that the business objectives are being met by the team. The BPM is instrumental in supporting the ongoing growth and success of Rumpke.

Responsibilities of Position:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all operational processes are efficient, effective, and provide a user-friendly and enjoyable experience to our internal users and customers.
  • Monitor and report on process performance against business metrics and process health.
  • Meets with functional leaders and other process owners to communicate strategy and objectives and collect feedback.
  • Define and promote business process changes which continuously increases the maturity of the process and supports ongoing growth.
  • Monitoring employee satisfaction and driving improvements.
  • Oversees process governance, implementation, execution, adoption, and performance.
  • Facilitate the availability of users and SMEs for business process definition and testing and works closely with Program Manager, Subject Matter Experts (SME), IT, and other business process owners to ensure accepted test plans are designed and executed.
  • Responsible for developing, coordinating and managing multiple aspects of projects and SAP and ISB development.
  • Validates data migrations from legacy systems in addition to new data requirements.
  • Manages and resolves business and operational issues in an innovative, efficient, and effective manner while focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Identifies performance gaps, launches remedial initiatives accordingly and communicating to senior management on initiative progress and process performance issues.
  • Interacts with senior management, business partners, and vendors to manage expectations, prioritize, and negotiate or influence significant matters.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and develops recommendations and support for enhancements of applications and works with Business Analyst to develop testing scenarios and testing plans for applications.
  • Develops and reviews training plans for new application releases or changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to organize and deliver presentations in front of groups.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Physical Requirements in a Regular workday:
  • Rarely lifting/carrying a max of 50lbs.
  • Rarely pushing/pulling a max of 50lbs.
  • Frequently sitting, standing, and walking.
Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:
  • Ability to travel between offices, as required.
  • Ability to workflexible hours; overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable).
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.
