Description
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
- Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions to address deviations.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors, operators, and technicians.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the production team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
- Collaborate with the R&D and engineering teams to scale up new products from pilot to full-scale production.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications.
- Implement and maintain robust quality control systems and procedures.
- Address and resolve any production-related quality issues promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Develop and implement safety training programs for production staff.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to source high-quality raw materials at competitive prices.
- Collaborate with logistics to optimize the supply chain and delivery schedules.
Budgeting and Reporting:
- Prepare and manage the production budget, controlling costs and optimizing spending.
- Generate regular production reports for senior management, highlighting performance metrics and improvement plans.
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to long-term business objectives.
Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a production management role within the chemical manufacturing industry, preferably with a focus on materials for aviation.
- Proven track record of successful team leadership and process optimization.
- Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
