**Job Description:**
Parsons is seeking experienced Computer User Support Specialist to support the Air Operations Center (AOC) Services program in the Langley AFB, VA location. The AOC WS provides the Combined/Joint Forces Air Component Commander (C/JFACC), Airspace Control Authority (ACA), and Area Air Defense Commander (AADC) with the capabilities to develop and execute the strategy, plans, and Command and Control (C2) processes to successfully employ theater-wide air, space, and cyber forces to achieve desired effects in support of a Joint Force Commanders (JFCs) campaign objectives. These positions are contingent upon award.
The Computer User Support Specialist will provide Tier 2 Help Desk support to computer and network users. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Ensure maximum issue resolution in minimum time to meet Service Level Agreements
* Assist users with computer hardware and/or software applications (e.g. website access, email setup, troubleshooting, etc.)
* Provide in-depth applications knowledge of AOC Weapon System and other applications, services and/or systems.
* Assist software engineering product teams with developing modern support solutions to ease customer pain associated with problem resolution
* Resolve procedural issues
* Perform technical troubleshooting
* Maintain and update an electronic database of common procedural issues and solutions or quick fixes to known issues
* Keeps current on advances in the field of IT, cloud-native application development and container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes
* Provide 24/7 support as needed/directed by the Government
* Provide coordination and support for Tier 1 and/or Tier 3 level ticket requests
Required:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline. May consider an additional 2 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
* Minimum 6 years in a Help Desk environment
* Minimum 6 years of experience in computer and information systems
* Current IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security + CE, CCNA Security, SSCP, GSEC)
* Knowledge and experience with Intel based Windows, and UNIX
* Must possess a current Secret/ TS Clearance
Preferred:
* Active US DoD Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years
* Experience working in Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) and general understanding of CAOC processes and procedures in support of execution of the Air Tasking Order(ATO) and Airspace Control Order (ACO).
* Experience troubleshooting Kessel Run applications included as part of the integrated KRADOS suite
* Masters Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline
* Experience supporting a DoD customer's Information Technology environment (Server Administration, Operations, Maintenance, Information Assurance, etc.)
* Minimum 10 years of Help Desk experience in computer and information system
* Minimum 10 years of experience in computer and information systems
* Additional current CompTIA certifications in addition to the basic requirement
* Knowledge and experience with Cloud Computing relating to Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
* Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certification
* Certified Kubernetes Administrator Certification
*This position is based on Contract Award
