We are looking for a Senior Controller to join the growing team team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in startup environments and is prepared to take on diverse responsibilities, acting as the primary figure in accounting and finance. The candidate should possess a robust background in startups or early-stage operations, ready to establish and manage financial processes from inception.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of ERP systems, from selection to full deployment.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive accounting and finance protocols.
- Supervise inventory accounting for precise tracking and reporting.
- Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to executives.
- Conduct financial analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Coordinate annual audits and manage tax filings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support overall business objectives and growth.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in senior controllership, ideally within a startup or early-stage company.
- Extensive hands-on experience with ERP systems implementation.
- Strong proficiency in inventory accounting.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Self-motivated with the ability to operate effectively in a lean team environment.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Residence in VA preferred.
