The Position
Alene Candles is looking to make major layout changes to our factory floor for several new projects. The Part Time CAD Technician will assist with updating current drawings and drafting new designs based on feedback from Maintenance, Production and Engineering.
The Location
We are located at 51 Scarborough Lane, Milford, NH. This is a hybrid position. We are looking for someone who can work 20 hours a week.
Additional Job Details
+ Measure and record location of equipment and warehouse materials in AutoCAD.
+ Update equipment drawings to represent dimensionally, current equipment.
+ Streamline current drawings to remove outdated layers, and blocks.
+ Works closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production to develop equipment layouts and warehouse layouts.
+ Manage and organize multiple proposals for building layouts.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
+ Enrolled in Manufacturing Certificate program or Associates program with course work in drafting OR enrolled in an Engineering Program with course work in drafting.
+ 1-3+ years of experience in Drafting and 2D CAD in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in warehouse and production floor layout design.
+ Experience developing or modifying electrical, mechanical, HVAC, architectural, structural, and process drawings.
+ Experience in surveying warehouse and equipment location.
+ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
+ Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills are required.
+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate and coordinate with other departments within the company.
+ Proficient in AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD Release 37, and SOLIDWORKS.
+ Self-motivated with the ability to work without close supervision.
