Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Specialist will perform inventory control activities in the warehouse and production area. You will maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing products and supplies. Through a cycle counting process you will identify discrepancies with inventory and provide reports to the Warehouse Manager for review.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize the ERP system to perform receiving functions and material movements.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage and measure coils for compliance
- Maintain count accuracy using the ERP system cycle count program
- Reconcile any discrepant counts
- Print and attach identifying material tags to containers or pallets at incoming receiving
- Maintain proper records for all incoming materials
- Provide inventory control reports as required
- Dispose of obsolete inventory as directed
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of material stocking locations
- Follow all established safety procedures
- Be able to use moving equipment i.e., forklift, pallet jack, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
- Some work-related experience
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, and MES
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, both written and verbal
- Understanding of production procedures,
- Attention to detail
