Accounting Specialist


Job Details

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Associate. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department by performing various accounting and clerical tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented.
  • Process accounts payable transactions, including reviewing invoices, obtaining necessary approvals, and making timely payments.
  • Process accounts receivable transactions, including generating invoices, posting payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accuracy of submitted expenses.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Provide support during the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to existing accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Associate s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
