Graphic Design Intern
Introduction:
This role is open to students currently enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate degree program, majoring in graphic design, marketing, illustration or other similar majors. The intern will work in several different functional areas but may have a specific focus in the area(s) of digital marketing and social media graphics. This role will not only provide opportunities insights into marketing strategy and engaging in exciting marketing initiatives, it will also provide guidance and training in key areas of digital marketing and visual design.
Candidates must have strong, well-rounded design skills demonstrated in a digital portfolio.
Responsibilities:
As a Graphic Design intern, you will work closely with the lead Designer on various creative tasks that will be both internal and customer facing. These tasks may include
- Supporting social media strategy by generating new ideas for graphics for our social media channels.
- Updating data and tech sheets to support the campaign launch process
- Engaging in team meetings to keep a pulse on the required assets and upcoming graphic requests
- Creating engaging thumbnails for regular blogs, whitepapers, website pages, and other needs
Required Skills: - This role is open to students currently enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate degree program, majoring in graphic design, illustration, or other similar degree.
- Strong knowledge of typography, layout, color theory, and latest design tools.
- Creativity with an attention to detail
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to receive constructive critique and creative feedback
- Familiarity with formatting print media
