AVP - Financial Reporting Actuary


Job Details

What you will be doing:

  • Lead a small team of juniors actuaries focused on US GAAP, Stat & Tax reporting
  • Monitor valuation models to insure they are compliant to regulation standards
  • Collaborate with finance, product development, and underwriting teams to provide actuarial insights and support strategic business initiatives.
  • Conduct experience studies, mortality and lapse analysis, and assumption reviews to inform valuation and financial reporting processes.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging risks, trends, and regulatory changes affecting actuarial valuations.
  • Enhance processes to improve the accuracy and efficiency of valuation and financial reporting.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory requirements.


What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • ASA designation required, FSA preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant actuarial experience with a focus on valuation/financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting for Life & Annuity products
  • Extensive experience working with US GAAP, Stat & Tax frameworks
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in actuarial software and tools, GGY-AXIS preferred
