Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of masonry workers, including bricklayers, stone masons, and laborers, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute masonry work according to project requirements.
  • Set and maintain high standards for workmanship, ensuring that all masonry work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  • Train and mentor junior masonry workers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulations on the job site, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance among all team members.
  • Monitor project progress and budget, tracking expenses and materials usage to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to project timelines.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in masonry construction, with a strong background in bricklaying, stone masonry, and other related techniques.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of workers to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to quickly address and resolve issues that may arise during the course of a project.
  • Thorough knowledge of masonry materials, tools, and techniques, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA certification and other relevant safety certifications are preferred.
