Position Overview
The CAD Technician creates and manages all computer aided development of technical drawings and sketches utilized for client/project fulfillment purposes. The main focus of this position is the timely assurance of quality final draft and design materials for project implementations under the direction of a Designer or Engineer.
Primary Job Functions
* Design and Drafting
* Consults with engineers and designers to obtain the technical details for drawings.
* Creates visual plans for the construction of client systems and products in accordance with typical industry standards.
* Revises and updates plans and drawings as required by project changes.
* Responsible for maintaining accurate revision levels and project details on all drawings.
* Responsible for storing all current and prior revisions in proper locations on server(s).
* Able to identify /capture ("pick-up") redlines quickly and accurately.
Secondary Job Functions:
* Participates in miscellaneous project reporting as requested.
* Assists with implementations and field installations as required.

Requirements
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a CAD/Drafting position, electrical experience preferred.
* Technical or Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrates a broad knowledge of CAD software.
