Program Overview:

The Division of HIV Health, as a condition of Pillar Zero in Ending the HIV Epidemic, executes programs, projects, and initiatives targeting disparities in HIV prevention and care in order to make system wide improvements that address the needs of vulnerable and marginalized communities. Through a variety of health equity best practices the Division of HIV Health hopes to improve access, remove barriers to care, and dismantle biases that affect individuals' commitment to remaining engaged in ongoing prevention and care.

* JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Division of HIV Health (formerly known as The AIDS Activities Coordinating Office) is recruiting temporary part-time Bilingual (Spanish) Interviewers who will conduct calls in Spanish for multiple projects including the Health Equity Special Advisor's language access audit and collect qualitative data from the call experience. All audit activities will take place on site at DHH's offices. Interviewers will work approximately 2-4 days per week. Employment is expected from October 2023 to April 2024, but may end sooner depending on the pace of the auditing process. Interviewers are also expected to attend a day-long training prior to job execution. Interviewers will report to the Health Equity Special Advisor.

* RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Bilingual interviews in Spanish

* Calling different agencies to assess the efficacy of the language translation services to provide necessary information to community members.

* Conduct in-depth, standardized surveying of the accuracy and experience of translation services.

* Maintain data integrity (i.e., all data collected accurately represents the authentic experience and information from calling an agency/provider).

* Accurately document phone translation experience and information on the audit forms provided for collection.

* Prepare and maintain calling materials and supplies.

* Assist with ongoing formative surveying/auditing as necessary.

* Participate in required trainings.

* Assist with other related duties as assigned.

* SKILLS:

* Customer service experience a plus but not required.

* Ability to adhere to detailed project protocols.

* Ability to comply with strict protocols for confidentiality.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Strong oral communication skills.

* Patient.

* Proficiency in Spanish is required (native speaker preferred)

* EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR A CERTIFICATE EQUIVALENCY

SALARY: $26 AN HOUR
