The International Student Advisor will report to the Director of International Admissions and work closely with other staff/faculty associated with Campbellsville University operations. The International Student Advisor will be expected to provide high-quality services befitting the Christian mission of the university. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and all other applicable laws and regulations. This is a fulltime, Hybrid position where 3 days will be spent onsite.

Responsibilities:

  • execute university policies concerning new student admission in compliance with university admissions standards and uphold student data integrity/confidentiality protocols.
  • entering prospective student data in the university database (Jenzabar) for use during enrollment activities and registration/advising processes and information in the SEVP portal for essential immigration purposes.
  • provide CU staff and faculty with inquiries, application, and admissions document updates, and assist in maintaining student enrollment files and materials.
  • assist with recruitment and advising international students.
  • taking incoming phone calls and fielding questions, and/or providing initial information and instructions about university admissions processes, academic programs, basic immigration inquiries, and other university policies/regulations. She/he will maintain a general familiarity with degree programs advertised by CU.
  • making outgoing phone calls to prospective and enrolled students regarding their enrollment status, admissions file, student accounts, and other information specific to the business programs. All CU staff positions are responsible for maintaining data integrity.
  • work closely with the other members of the Campbellsville University Staff to ensure that processes are completed accurately and timely and that student information in Jenzabar is up to date.
  • responsible for general office work to include, but not be limited to, creating new student files, assisting to maintain the Campbellsville University's physical and electronic filing system, and photocopying, faxing, and editing materials associated with student admissions processes.
  • Perform other assigned duties and take the initiative in helping other people and in promoting Campbellsville University.
  • Assists with the monitoring of the electronic data system for the department to ensure that all records are correctly maintained within the document imaging system in accordance with retention guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • strictly adhere to the requirements of the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines.
  • Ensure that applicable advisors are assigned to incoming students, and advisor changes are made as needed.
  • Assist with immigration processes, onboarding and admissions processes as well as other duties as assigned by the Director of International Admissions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience interacting with international personnel preferred
  • must possess and demonstrate organizational and communication skills
  • have the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks assigned.
  • must have excellent typing and computer skills,
  • experience with various office software and equipment.
  • must be able to demonstrate interpersonal as well as intercultural communication skills due to the diverse population of students this position helps to service.
