Seeking applications for position of staff physician in the section of Hematology/Oncology at Audie Murphy VA Hospital. We have a Comprehensive Cancer Center with onsite chemotherapy infusion and affiliation with NCI clinical trials.

• We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate physician willing to provide high quality direct patient care with particular emphasis on the ability to function in a multidisciplinary team.

• Diagnostic workup, treatment, and follow-up of patients with blood disorders or malignancies
• Participation in educational programs of Hematology/Oncology and Internal Medicine. Participation in quality assurance programs and chart reviews.
• Didactic and bedside teaching
• Supervision of medical students, residents, and Hematology/Oncology fellows
• Active participation in the conduct of clinical trials and other scholarly activities
• Adherence to quality measures and Standards
• Facilitate academic and research collaboration with the Division of Hematology/Oncology
• Hematology/Oncology Fellowship in an ACGME accredited training program. (Candidates in the final year of their fellowship are eligible to apply, provided they will complete their fellowship before joining this position).
• ABIM Board eligibility/certification in Internal Medicine and Hematology and Medical Oncology.
• Scholarly activities including clinical research interests in any area of Hematology or Oncology.
