Job DetailsResponsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly and accurately.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand equipment layout and troubleshoot problems.
- Use power tools and other specialized devices to repair or replace faulty equipment parts.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move heavy equipment or materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop maintenance strategies and implement them effectively.
- Document all maintenance and repair work for record-keeping and future reference.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in mechanical maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance mechanic role within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of how machines and systems function.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Experience with power tools and other maintenance equipment.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy equipment and work in different positions.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, if needed.
