Our client has a brand new opportunity for a
Field Service Technician to join their team
onsite in Chicago, IL and provide unparalleled technical support for IT and data problem tasks. This Technician will travel within a radius of 25 to 100+ miles daily, depending on the area and specific route, and is required to have a valid driver s license.
Duties and Responsibilities: -
Proficient in AC / DC and backup power concepts
-
Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve client issues with IT equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
-
Install desktop printers and maintain the POS system to ensure smooth operation
-
Document efforts, issues and resolutions, close cases / tickets daily to maintain accurate records
-
Manage cabling and various terminating connectors to ensure reliable network connectivity
-
Maintain and troubleshoot POS, PC, printers, thin clients, Client, servers, and network switch equipment
Skills and Qualifications:
-
Minimum 2+ years of technical support experience

Familiar with various operating systems (e.g., Windows OS, OSX, Linux / Unix)

Insight to POS, PC, Printers, Thin Clients, Servers, and Network switch equipment
-
Exceptional customer service skills and effectively communicating with clients and addressing their IT-related concerns

Attention to detail and problem solving skills
-
Excellent time management and reporting skills
