SUMMARY
Supply Chain Specialist has a strong analytical mindset for supply chain activities with existing and upcoming new business. Demonstrates good customer service using strong leadership, clear communication and problem resolution related to both internal and external related issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Had full understanding of the supply chain processes related to procurement/inventory management.
  • Effectively monitors inventory levels and taking proactive measures to identify any potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Promoting effective communication between customer and supplier regarding production demand. Can train others.
  • Train team members on inventory control best practices.
  • Monitor SCM members' activity with incoming & outgoing shipments, monitor container status, ensure delivery control to customer.
  • Review and approve purchase orders based upon customer PO, forecasts, inventory levels, safety stock, and lead times for high dollar items.
  • Has good understanding of the different components being purchased and the manufacturing process.
  • Leads decision making on RMA issues to resolve rejected & damaged inventory by processing insurance claims and submitting inventory adjustments.
  • Analyze monthly reports related to abnormal inventory and freight cost issues.
  • Develop corrective actions for improving bad suppliers.
  • Analyze and monitor inventory aging to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Provide explanations and countermeasure for section manager report.
  • Leads negotiations with customer and suppliers to resolve deadstock issues.
  • Analyze customer long term forecast for safe launch and phase out situations for effective inventory levels.
  • Seek for kaizen opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement and standardization.
  • Fully understanding of the PDCA process.
  • Is proactive to resolve critical delivery problems and escalates all issues to management.
  • Performs work that is varied and may be somewhat technical in nature.
  • Support other sales & administrative staff.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred majors in Business Management or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in similar position.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Experience in supply chain management and familiarities in coordinating activities with warehouses and logistics service providers.
  • Provide high level of customer service.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
