Carries out and helps provide technical support for the medical schools Center for Cell and Molecular Imaging (CCMI). Includes providing maintenance and helping with day to day operations of advanced light microscopy equipment and image analysis resources, plus training of new users. Works with the director and the technical director of CCMI to ensure the optimal operation, direction, needs, and short-term planning of the Center. Expertise in image processing and image analysis, including familiarity with Imaris and Image-J platforms. 1. Manages the daily activities of a research resource laboratory. Oversees the scheduling, use, and availability of instrumentation, supplies, and specialized work areas. 2. Carries out biotechnology research design, develop, and modify procedures and instrument operating programs. 3.
