A Day In The LifeRead and understand blueprints and routings to produce parts from them to the required specifications.Responsible for the quality of the assemblies produced. Perform first piece inspection and subsequent inspections to ensure overall quality.Responsible for the care of routine maintenance and keeping the work area neat and clean.Follow all rules regarding machine operation and machine guarding.Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality, and safety.Utilize hand tools such as a handheld screwdriver and drill gunsMaintain inventory of product in workstationsPerform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standardsIdentify product defects and report itOperate functional area equipment in a safe and efficient mannerMaintain safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards as requiredMaintain accurate and timely dataReport any safety problems, hazards, accidents and near misses to managementProperly use safety equipment, including machine guarding, interlocks and safety curtains are working properly or report itAble to troubleshoot and resolve simple quality product issuesMeet standards and tolerancesOther job tasks as assigned by SupervisorWhat will help you thrive in this role?2-3 years of experience in assemblyThermoforming experience preferredMust be able to lift up to 35 poundsPerform repetitive tasksPossess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together accuratelyUnderstanding MSDS and handling of hazardous materialsWork alone or in a team environmentRegular good attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to stand, sit, stoop or bend, reach above shoulders up to 25% of timeEducationRequires High School Diploma or equivalentCompetenciesBuilds TalentHubbell IncorporatedHubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
