Our client is seeking an Energy/ Energy Market SME to help aid in the design of an "Energy 101" course.
The following list provides details of what type of knowledge the SME is required to have:
The SME should focus on the following areas:
- Revenue streams for different energy markets.
- General workings of electricity markets.
- Optimization of batteries and its impact on revenue streams.
Essentially, the SME should be capable of simplifying complex energy management and optimization concepts into digestible training for those unfamiliar with the field.
Additionally, we have outlined a tiered description of our client's services to aid in our search in direct relation to your business:
Energy Management Solutions:
- You provide advanced energy management software for optimizing energy consumption in commercial and industrial buildings, utilizing data analytics and machine learning to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
Battery Storage Integration:
- Integration of battery storage systems to store energy during off-peak periods and release it during peak demand times, improving energy usage management and cost efficiency. This was discussed briefly with Ahmad as one portion of the business.
Demand Response:
- Enabling demand response programs for adjusting energy usage in response to grid signals, balancing supply and demand, and reducing grid strain during peak periods.
Grid Services:
- Supporting grid stability and efficiency through services like frequency regulation and peak shaving, essential for maintaining a reliable grid with increasing renewable energy sources.
Sustainability and Decarbonization:
- Optimizing energy usage and integrating renewable sources to support sustainability goals and reduce carbon footprints.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning:
- Leveraging AI and machine learning to predict energy usage patterns, optimize operations, and provide actionable insights for better energy management.
This opportunity is on a 1099 contract and is only for about 15 - 25 hours worth of work.
