Quality Lab Team Leader


Job Details

**Location:** Clovis, NM, US, 88101 Grade and eva lu ate product and determine product release and distribution based on customer requirements. * Assist with organizing, coordinating, and monitoring the Quality Systems- HACCP, GMP, and SQF 2000 level 3 certification.

* Actively participate in Focus Improvement (FI) Teams.

* Assist with overseeing the Food Safety Programs and leadership in the QM Pillar.

* Evaluating and Monitor ingredient s, packaging and process supp li ers to ensure they meet Southwest Cheese QA standards.

* Participate in all State, FDA, USDA, customer and 3rd party audits .

* Responsible for internal auditing along with QA Manager the SQF Food Safety and Quality Plans.

* Work with plant management to track plant performance to key performance indicators (KPI's).

* Assist with ensuring customer specifications are being met, if not help with investigating complaints and responses.

* Assist with ensuring that all employees have adequate knowledge of o ur GMP and Food Safety programs and provide training.

* Assist with monthly GMP and Hou sekee ping audits of the facility.

* QA Manager covers in QA Team Leader's absence.

* Utilize Glanbia Performance System (GPS) tools and principles to improve quality and efficiency in the plants.

* Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.

* Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)

Continually update knowledge of products, product changes, processes and services offered to deliver a dynamic customer experience. * Requires a Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

* Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

* Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.

* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

* Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

* Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiply projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others.

* Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources

* Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

* Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.

* Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.

* Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, and work with the fingers.

* Involves light physical activity performing non-strenuous s daily activities of an administrative nature.

* Should be able to identify and distinguish colors, see clearly at 20 inches or closer and 20 feet or more, judge distances and spatial relationships , and adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
