We're looking for a Warehouse Clerk to work with our client in Aberdeen, MD! Earn up to $21/hr. with a leading Italian foodservice distributor in the Eastern U.S, delivering quality food products, value, and reliable service primarily to the Italian restaurant and pizzeria segment

Pay Rate: Earn up to $18-21/hr. (depending on experience)
Shift Schedule: About the Role: The Warehouse Clerk (Logistics and Load Mapping) will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods within the warehouse. This position is responsible for creating and managing load maps, coordinating logistics, and supporting the overall distribution process.
Key Responsibilities: - Load Mapping: Develop and maintain detailed load maps to optimize the loading and unloading of trucks. Ensure load maps are accurate and adhere to safety and efficiency standards.
- Logistics Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating the movement of goods within the warehouse and during transportation. Work closely with the logistics team to schedule shipments and deliveries.
- Load Optimization: Analyze load maps to ensure optimal space utilization and weight distribution within delivery trucks. Adjust load configurations to improve efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
- Coordination with Drivers: Communicate with truck drivers to provide detailed load instructions and ensure they understand the load configuration and delivery schedule.
- Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage and ensure they are packed securely and correctly according to the load map specifications. Address any quality issues promptly.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Order Processing: Process incoming and outgoing orders, including picking, packing, and shipping. Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols. Promote a safe working environment and report any safety concerns to management.
- Cycle Counts and Stock Audits: Conduct regular cycle counts and stock audits to verify
- Customer Coordination: Liaise with customers to provide information about load statuses, address any special requirements, and ensure their satisfaction with the logistics process
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all shipments, load maps, and inventory transactions. Prepare reports as needed.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff, drivers, and management to ensure smooth operations and resolve any logistical issues.
Key Requirements: - Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with specific experience in load mapping and distribution logistics.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional training or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and load mapping software. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks. Must be able to work in various warehouse conditions, including cold storage.
