A Healthcare system in NJ is seeking a talented IT Solutions Architect to join their team in Morristown, NJ!
***Please note: this role is remote; however, candidates must be local enough to Morristown, NJ to be hybrid 1-2 days/week their first month for training.***
Responsibilities
The IT Solutions Architect will be responsible for:
- Highly versatile, being able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Highly collaborative with all relevant roles within and outside of the I.T. department.
- Create illustrated (diagrams).
- Experienced in negotiating with vendors and colleagues in order to produce designs that comply with Atlantic Health standards, best-practices, operational, and security policies.
- Proven business experience to help align business vision and goals with technology initiatives.
- Maintains knowledge of advances in technology and architecture practices, cloud and security best practices through Atlantic Health subject matter expert collaboration and taking initiative to discover.
- Makes attainable recommendations in the area of systems standards and procedures.
- Understands the fundamental concepts of all areas of information technology and systems. Not product-oriented, but system component and OSI model oriented.
- Understands the fundamental areas of (ITSM) IT Service Management (IE - Capacity management, availability management, performance management and service delivery etc.)
- Participates effectively in managed projects.
- Capable at Vendor Management. Able to objectively challenge and understand vendor perspectives, negotiate and influence upon them Atlantic Health perspectives.
- Takes initiative and seeks improvement opportunities.
- Resourceful - capable of forming a solution to a requirement several different ways, however with the resources available which may not always be ideal.
- Technical Writer Technical Writing
- Do other tasks as assigned by Management.
Qualifications - 10 years of I.T. experience in a service design andor service delivery role
- A blend of technical and leadership competencies.
- Have designed IT infrastructure andor cloud IaaS or PaaS solution architectures.
- Certification in one or more of the following areas preferred.
- TOGAF or Zachmann enterprise architecture
- ITIL
- AWS Cloud Practitioner
- Azure Cloud Foundations
- Possess an understanding of key cloud concepts
- Possess an understanding of modern on-premises datacenter IT infrastructure concepts such as server virtualization, SD-WAN, VPN, block, file and object storage, zero-trust networking
- Possess an understanding of Windows operating systems, Active Directory and other Fundamental Microsoft technologies.
- Possesses experience documenting and diagraming future-state infrastructure-oriented architectures for on-premises datacenter, cloud-based and hybrid platforms
- Proven accomplishments in several of the areas in the Duties and Skills section
- Have experience collaborating with teams of customers and Engineers for infrastructure or security designs andor deployments.
