Job Description:

• Cybersecurity Engineer in charge of security analyses & solution implementation.
• Experienced cybersecurity engineer needed to assess, propose, develop, and implement both scaled and advanced cyber defense solutions and changes, perform in-depth security analyses, and provide solutions for remediation goals.
• The client assists local government entities by providing security standards for elections offices to implement and report annually.
• These standards are known as the Locality Election Security Standards (LESS).
• This contractor will work for the client's Privacy Officer, with a full-time focus on the LESS program including program development, documentation, and implementation, while conducting a risk-focused review of locality reports and analysis of potential security solutions.
• This individual would be involved in multiple activities requiring a high degree of security expertise and technical agility including assessing and reporting on fewer submissions from localities, remediation planning with localities in addition to considering, researching, and developing implementation plans for technology solutions that can rapidly secure potential vulnerabilities.

Skills:

• Experience implementing technical, administrative, and physical security solutions to mitigate risk.
• NIST 800-53 Experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining network security.
• Experience in cyber security engineering duties such as architecture design, system planning.
• Bachelors in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or similar.
• Proficiency in PowerShell.
• Experience drafting technical and administrative documentation.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills.
• CISSP.
