****PURPOSE OF POSITION****

The Material Handler performs functions needed to ensure the ideal balance between total cost of purchased materials, consistent timely delivery of goods, and high product quality to support the site. The role is directly responsible for securing material availability for production and working with the warehouse team to ensure ideal material presentation and simplify visual management.

******ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:******

* Position is expected to meet internal/external demands of customers which involve material movement, distribution, kitting, and stocking of inventory as well as assistance with receiving and shipping as needed.

* Perform Cycle Counting and log results into cycle count system.

* Verify and perform transactions for rejected material based on disposition of reject.

* Support implementation of KANBAN and other material management programs.

****BASIC REQUIREMENTS:****

* Skilled in operations or related field, with experience acquired through traditional or non-traditional ways.

* Computer proficiency required in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

* Experience with of MS Teams and Task Cards desired.

* Detailed oriented, analytical and high level of discipline.

* Ability and willingness to work overtime in order to meet internal/external customer demand.

****PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:****

* One (1) year manufacturing and ERP experience (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent) preferred.

* Additional experience in Material Handling, Shipping, and Receiving disciplines desired.

* Basic understanding of Lean concepts and the ability to use supply chain management principles to support continuous improvement of material flow and inventory accuracy.
