Who We Are:

The Integration and Test group is a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technologists, and technicians within the Department of Spacecraft Development, ultimately responsible for space hardware test and integration which includes harness fabrication.

Objectives of this Role:
  • Under supervision, performs light mechanical and electrical harness assembly in a fast-paced assembly environment.
  • Create and peer-inspect harness assemblies that may be complex, 3-dimensional structures with small parts.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions and processes.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and other production-related documentation.
  • Be trained to strip, crimp, and solder wires, connectors, and cable assemblies.
  • Will be required to pass certification with J-STD-001 Soldering Specification, and NASA Cable Assembly/Crimping per NAS-STD-8739.4 or equivalent with training/in-house certifications.
Requirements:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year years: Experience in working with various hand tools, Basic Computer Skills.
  • Familiarity with common inspection tools such as calipers, voltmeter, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, Follow instructions, and work accurately.
  • assembly and manufacture background or interest in these areas.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
