**Warehouse Crib Attendant**
**Location:** Mason, MI, US Receive, stock, and organize items in inventory.Issue parts out of the Parts Crib. Conduct shipping and receiving activities. Demonstrate organization, understanding of material movements and inventory control, and usage of a PIT to move materials.
**Day-to-Day Role:**
Retrieve and transport parts and stock materials to and from the shipping and receiving area utilizing proper equipment such as fork trucks, carts, pallet jacks, or digital scales
Ensure accurate selection, packaging, labeling and paperwork when shipping to vendors, production plants, and storage facilities, or issuing parts and materials out of the Parts Crib
Ensure accurate receipt of materials into the system
Ensure loads are secure for transport
Operate shipping and receiving dock platforms and trailer locks
Coordinate the shipment of parts and machinery throughout the building, around the campus, domestically, and internationally, while working with personnel in other departments such as Traffic, Mail Room, Mason Cup Plant, and Machinery and Tooling Manufacturing
Maintain accurate inventories and records of purchased parts, manufactured parts, machinery, and shipping or packaging supplies following established procedures
Train others on inventory control, shipping and receiving materials, including operation of dock platform, trailer lock controls, and safety procedures
Recognize potential obstacles and make recommendations to improve techniques, efficiency, safety and procedures
Troubleshoot problems with paperwork, shipping and receiving logistics, material movements, and inventory issues
Maintain relationships with vendors for purchased items as needed. Work with vendors to conduct research on items to find the best solutions and prices to best meet the needs of the department
Conduct internal audits
Coordinate the placement of semi-trucks and trailers into shipping and receiving docks
Operate and administer the usage of industrial vending machines, including usage reports, user access, and asset management
Conduct production support activities such as SAP transactions for WIP, finished goods, and packaging materials. Coordinate with Traffic, Plant Warehouse, and Production Planning personnel to receive and ship finished goods materials as well as account for production inventory within SAP
**Core Skills and Qualifications:**
**The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:**
High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of related experience
Math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to clearly explain options and solutions
Microsoft Word skills to include the ability to open, close, create, edit and save documents.
Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create basic spreadsheets, open, close, edit, (e.g., cut, paste, insert and delete rows) and save spreadsheets
Ability to learn and use SAP to purchase materials, move materials, control inventory, shipping and receiving
Ability to use steel banding equipment to secure heavy loads
Ability to obtain and maintain sit-down PIT licenses **Preferred Skills and Qualifications:**
Shipping and receiving experience
Inventory control experience
Warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
SAP knowledge and experience
Experience working with industrial components such as basic electrical/mechanical hardware and raw metals
