Association House of Chicago is actively hiring a full-time, Monday-Friday BilingualSubstance Use Counselor to join its growing team of dedicated professionals in Chicago, IL.

TheBilingualSubstance Use Counselor provides participants with a substance use assessment, treatment plan, and counseling services following program standards. Association House of Chicago uses a harm-reduction strategy in keeping participants engaged in treatment and supporting their recovery.

Job Duties:
Use consistent and extensive outreach strategies to engage participants in services and provide community-based services
Assess participants' needs for services and determines appropriate treatment level
Provide individual, family, and group substance use counseling and case management services as determined by participants' needs
Assist participants in creating a support network that fosters their recovery

Job Requirements:
High school diploma/GED required
Associate or bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences preferred
Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC) certification required
DUI certification within one year of hire required
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
The physical ability to climb and descend flights of stairs
