Safety - Health - Environmental Specialist

Position Summary
In accordance with the Buckman North American Mission and Fundamentals support Buckman North America and Buckman International by managing environmental compliance for the Memphis site (Memphis Plant, Corporate Office Building, and R & D Laboratories). Support sustainability and continuous improvement and risk management programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, and corporate environmental requirements.
In accordance with the Buckman Code of Ethics, Environmental Philosophy/ Principles/Policy, and Safety Mission/Principles/Policy, supports Buckman North America by managing efforts that:
- Ensure compliance with national and international Hazardous Materials Transportation requirements affecting land, water, and air transportation of Buckman North America originating materials.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations governing the Memphis, TN facility operation.
- Maintain ISO 14001 registration standards and support ISO 9001 and 45001 registration.
- Support safety compliance programs at the Memphis manufacturing facility and corporate offices/labs.
Essential Job Responsibilities

- Lead the Environmental Management System, and assist with Safety Management and Quality System
Essential Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year college or university. Related area of science or equivalent experience working in a Safety Health and Environment related field preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience
- Minimum five years working in a Safety Health and Environment related field would be considered in lieu of a four year degree.
