Position: Procurement Manager
Overview:
As the Procurement Manager, you will be crucial in sourcing technology and services for utility-scale wind, solar, energy storage, and transformers. Your expertise in the commercial, technical, and financial aspects of renewables will aid in making informed decisions. You'll develop negotiation strategies, lead deals, and represent the company to vendors and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various teams (Engineering, Construction, Development, Legal) to focus on optimal technologies and vendors.
- Build and maintain key vendor and contractor relationships.
- Manage the sourcing cycle for energy storage systems and related services.
- Maintain market intelligence dashboards for energy storage and power conversion systems.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies for supply and construction services.
- Provide recommendations on price, performance, risk, quality, and ESG criteria.
- Propose and support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (technical, business, finance, or supply chain certification preferred).
- 5+ years of procurement experience in utility-scale wind, solar, and/or battery storage.
- Strong technical and quantitative skills.
- Experience in complex contract negotiations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
