Role Overview:
We're in search of an experienced Lead Game Designer proficient in Unreal Engine to spearhead our game design endeavors from inception to fruition. In this position, you'll collaborate closely with the founder to conceptualize the genre, aesthetic, and mechanics of our debut game, playing a pivotal role in assembling and guiding the game design team.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the founder to conceptualize and delineate the genre, aesthetics, and mechanics of our first game.
- Create and manage design documentation encompassing game mechanics, level design, and user experience directives.
- Lead the game design team, offering guidance, mentorship, and feedback to ensure the delivery of top-tier work.
- Leverage Unreal Engine for prototyping, iterating, and implementing game features.
- Organize play testing sessions and gather feedback to refine gameplay elements.
- Collaborate closely with artists, programmers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless and captivating gaming experience.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continually innovate and enhance design methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Lead Game Designer or similar role in the gaming sector.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine, spanning from conceptualization to design execution.
- Robust understanding of game mechanics, level design, and user experience principles.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
- Capacity to lead and motivate a team of designers.
- Creative problem-solving aptitude and a fervor for crafting engaging gameplay experiences.
- Strong portfolio showcasing past game design endeavors.
Preferred Qualifications:
