StoneTurn is seeking a qualified Senior Consultant to join our Forensic Accounting and Complex Business Litigation practice.


Job Summary

In this role you will be responsible for financial, accounting, and economic analyses, specifically related to disputes arising from mergers and acquisitions. This position will primarily support a team that works on matters involving complex issues arising from post-acquisition disputes, including a significant focus on representations and warranties insurance claims. You will add value to our team by having previous experience in a professional services firm, strong analytical skills and excellent prioritization skills. This position requires you to be a person with strong interpersonal, communication and technical skills.


Responsibilities

  • Work across the forensic accounting investigations and complex business litigation practice area with a focus on matters related to representations and warranties insurance claims.
  • Understand and incorporate client needs and objectives into work plans and work product.
  • Gather, organize, understand, analyze and summarize supporting documentation.
  • Read, understand and interpret financial statements and records.
  • Perform financial analyses, including financial modeling.
  • Compile and analyze facts and circumstances to formulate, substantiate, and critique various damages theories, claims or conclusions.
  • Understand, develop and utilize computer models streamlining detailed and complex information into clear and concise analyses.
  • Develop and communicate work product, both orally and in writing to management and clients
  • Draft reports noting findings including, but not limited to the preparation of tables, exhibits and charts.
  • Assist with engagement management administration, including budgeting, billing and conflict checks.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships with law firms and corporate contacts.
  • Perform detailed review (quality control) of work performed by Consultants.
  • Supervise Consultants and assist with clear direction and support.


Required qualifications

  • Degree in business, accounting, or finance
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP standards, particularly in revenue recognition, inventory reserves and accounting for capital projects
  • A minimum three (3+) years of strong experience in an accounting or financial analysis related role
  • Strong analytical, technical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Excellent prioritization skills
  • Commitment to exemplary client service delivery
  • Must be flexible with work schedule and travel requirements of client service projects


Desirable qualifications

  • CPA obtained (or in process/eligible), forensic certifications such as CFF or CFE, or advanced business degree
  • Prior experience within financial due diligence, transaction advisory, or auditing
  • Client service experience preferred, national CPA firm experience
  • Supervisory experience a plus
  • Network of relationships within law firms and corporate legal departments
  • Foreign language capabilities
