Content Strategist

The Eye & Ear Foundation is a department within the School of Medicine that aims to raise funds and awareness of the research and educational efforts of the Departments of Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology.

Job Summary

Assists with digital marketing and communications efforts for a variety of internal and external audiences. Writes varied content across platforms, coordinates production of concurrent communications, maintains calendars, and analyzes social media and email campaign performance. Assists in strategy development.

Essential Functions

Identifies and pursues social media growth opportunities.Coordinates digital communication and social media strategies and functions for the Departments of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, and Eye and Ear Advancement. Works across multiple markets/channels while adhering to strict branding and style guidelines.

Employs writing and graphic design skills to target specific audiences, including social media, print, website copy, advertising, and other promotional and/or writing collateral.Uses analytics and metrics to measure and improve results.Works closely with faculty, gathering content.

Attends events for content and photos.

Writes or adapts copy for catalogs, brochures, flyers, email campaigns, promotions, and other marketing materials.

Works with authors and editors for copy input and approval.

Physical Effort

Some travel for events and to labs/clinics to meet with faculty.No heavy lifting.
