Job Details
Our Home is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiver to join our team on the first shift. As a Receiver, you will be responsible for inspecting and receiving incoming shipments, verifying their contents against purchase orders, and ensuring their proper storage in our warehouse facility.
Responsibilities
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality
Match received items to purchase orders, ensuring that all goods have been accounted for
Unpack and organize items in the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage and easy accessibility
Ensure received items are labeled and stored correctly, following the company's inventory management procedures
Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate the movement and organization of received items
Coordinate with suppliers and shipping carriers to resolve any discrepancies or issues with incoming shipments
Maintain accurate documentation of received items and update inventory records in the system
Assist with regular inventory counts and audits
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
Prior experience in a receiving or warehouse role preferred
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to accurately match items to purchase orders and verify their condition
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed
Knowledge of forklift operation and certification is a plus
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
High school diploma or equivalent
