Martin Marietta is looking to hire a Utility Equipment Operator based out of our Raccoon River Sand Operation in West Des Moines, Iowa. The person hired into this position will operate a variety of heavy equipment, including a skid loader, loader, excavator, haul truck and sand dredge. Duties include greasing and lubricating plant equipment, maintaining plant housekeeping, operating equipment, and performing routine maintenance on plant and equipment. This position does require some travel around Central Iowa. The hours for this position are 6 am-5 pm. Job Responsibilities Operate plant-specific mobile equipment. Operate a dredge. Assist with preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment. Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections on equipment and maintain maintenance log.
