Agriculture Service Provider - Sprayer Tech
Job Description
Location: Hanover, PA
$5000. sign on bonus (expires 6/30/24)
Purpose:
Independently performs diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and /or dealer-owned
Agricultural Equipment with emphasis on Sprayers and Application equipment. Candidates require a strong
work ethic to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. Communication skills are required to
clearly articulate aspects of work being performed to a customer in a courteous manner. This is an excellent
opportunity for a self motivated individual interested in working for an established dealership.
Responsibilities:
? Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on Agricultural equipment, and established Precision Ag
products, Sprayers, Dry box units and other Application units.
? Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field as required.
? Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work
orders and on time submission of information.
? Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
? Conducts and supports customer clinics.
? Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
? Participate in the JDU Training program required for development of skills and knowledge.
? Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
? Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
? Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
? Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
? Overnight travel may be required at times.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
? Preferably one year of experience performing Ag equipment service repairs.
? Basic understanding of chemicals used in the application industry
? Basic knowledge of application rates and requirements
? Experience with basic computer functions.
? Work independently or in a team environment.
? Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following
Technical Manual procedures.
? Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of Application
equipment.
? Must have an adequate tool set to perform job responsibilities.
? High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
? Valid Driver's license.
? DOT Medical Certification and be able to maintain as required
The pay range for this position is $20-$38 per hour, based on experience.
