Eco-Services
Portland is a manufacturing plant handling Sulfuric Acid and producing Aluminum
Sulphate. We are currently looking for a
material handler to manage warehouse inventories as well as load/unload tank
and flatbed trailers. This position pays $38/hour - $41/hour - Depending on
Experience

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operating a forklift to load and un-loading flatbed trailers.
Collecting and reporting Tank Farm inventories
Load and unload liquids from tank trucks.
Handling of hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
Strict adherence to HSE laws and regulations
Work collaboratively with others to coordinate effective
solutions.
Prioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage product for
loading.
Designate and organize the warehouse stock by product line and by
physical alignment.
Ability to read and comprehend shipping and receiving documents
such as bill of lading, pick slips, trailer inspections, and CoA.
Ability to read, write, and understand energy control documents.
Assist in daily housekeeping and maintenance.
Understand the safety culture and strive for 100% compliance with
plant and corporate safety policies and training.
Perform miscellaneous activities as directed to support the
efficient operation of the plant.
Be flexible with regards to working in other capacities within
the plant as needed.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to start, control, maintain, and complete a process or
procedure.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Assume full responsibility for the consequences of one s
behaviors, decisions and results.
Must be able and willing to work in an environment that is not
climate controlled.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with
those contacted during the course of work.

HSES (Health/Safety/Environmental/Sustainability)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Fully comply with all site safety, environmental, and security requirements and be personally accountable for performance in these areas.
Assist in regulatory compliance efforts as demanded.
Actively participate in certain PSM (Process Safety Management) program elements such as
Management of Change (MOC)
Process Hazards Analysis (PHA)
Process Safety Information (PSI)
Mechanical Integrity (MI)
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Training (T)
Control of Hot Work permits (HW)
Complete computer-based safety training.
Conduct system audits as directed.
Hold and participate in safety meetings as needed.

SPECIFIC JOB
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to use heavy
hand tools to perform railcar work.
Ability to use computer to access
plant information as necessary, for example, email, SAP for work orders,
excel as well as use these tools to conduct your job.
Must be able to wear full-face
respirator.
Must be able to work shift work.
Must be able to work weekends
and/or holidays as needed.
Experience
working in a warehouse setting preferred.

PREFERRED
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Good written and verbal skills.
Basic math, language, reading, and computer skills required.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Ability to wear and use applicable job specific PPE (Personnel
Protective Equipment)

EXPERIENCE
Must be dependable and show a stable work history.
Working
knowledge of pumps, pipelines, and valving.
Prior forklift
experience.
Working
knowledge and ability to use hand tools including wrenches, drills, saws,
etc

Minium
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED

AND One (1) of the following:

Process Technology Degree, or
Military Experience and in good standing, or
4 yr degree from a certified institution
(1 yrs) Chemical Manufacturing Experience (defined as process of transforming raw materials into finished product - operator), or
(2 yrs) Industrial Experience (Insulation, scaffolding, pipe fitting, millwright, welding)

AND Critical Skills/Competencies:
Basic computer skills, and
Good communication skills, and
Willing to serve on the Emergency Response Team for minimum of the first 5 years
