Implement and manage certified ISO9000 quality system designed to ensure continuous production of materials and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals). Supervise a team of quality inspectors.RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:1. Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.2. Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.3. Prepare PPAPs and FAIs as required for customers.4. NPI Process Oversee development of inspection processes and documentation.5. Manage ISO audit process.6. Oversee calibration program.7. Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.8. Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.9. Formulate, document and maintain quality standards and on-going quality objectives.10. Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with Plant Manager and supervisors to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.11. Conduct Management Review meetings as required by ISO standard. Prefer at least twice per year.12. Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.13. Interpret quality philosophy to key personnel within Company.14. Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.15. Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.16. Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.17. Maintain active role on internal Continuous Improvement teams.18. Chart and report on daily/weekly/monthly KPIs.19. Design, develop and implement quality training programs.20. Be an active and contributing member of our Leadership Team.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED: B.S. degree in Quality, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering desired Minimum 7 years related experience in a manufacturing environment requiredSupervisory/management experience Exposure to Aerospace and Automotive requirements Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques Experience with developing/documenting procedures Use of Quality Engineering methods in inspection Strong background in Metrology Computer proficiencySPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Quality orientation and high attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Experience working with high performance teams Problem analysis and problem resolution skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:1. Lifting and Bending: Occasional bending and stooping. Occasionally required to lift up to 20 lbs.2. Hearing - Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.3. Repetitive Motions Some movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.4. Sitting Maintaining body position by resting upon the buttocks at desk.5.
